Maritime International (Pvt) Limited (MIL), bearing Labour Licence No. 11 is probably the oldest active recruitment consultancy organization in Sri Lanka. Incorporated in 1978, it was one of the first in the “people” business and is now a well established, multi-disciplinary recruitment consultancy with 30 years in business. MIL has in the process, served a large clientele across several countries in the Gulf region, the Republic of Seychelles, Maldives, Mauritius and African and Asian continents including Malaysia, Pakistan and India. MIL has a well trained and energetic workforce with many years of experience in dealing with a varied clientele. Our staff undergo a continuous process of self development though in-house and external skills enhancement programs.

MIL possesses a comprehensive database covering all industry sectors ranging from engineering to labour, managers to drivers, the hospitality trade, finance, construction, IT sectors, automobile, aeronautical, the garment industry, janitorial, security and support services.
We believe in carrying out field research and identification of the best to ensure that only quality suitable personnel are sought for our database and sourced to our wide range of clientele in many parts of the world. Our team of experienced consultants can guarantee the precise selection of the right candidate for the right job and we are completely honest and transparent in our dealings.
We are proud to state that due to our good reputation and provision of high quality service, we have been fortunate to serve our overseas clientele for the past three decades. In true appreciation of our services, this clientele has naturally expanded. Our clientele covers the Seychelles and Maldives where we conducted successful recruitment assignments for the hospitality trade, construction and advertising companies, similar services in the Gulf region, the garment industry in Mauritius and African and Asian countries including Malaysia and Pakistan.
METHODOLOGY OF SERVICE
Our emphasis is on quality service and picking the candidate with the right qualifications and experience for the job. Therefore we do not levy any charges from the candidates. The selected candidates would pay Government approved taxes direct to the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment which is the governing body for foreign employment in Sri Lanka and bear all costs related to their medical examinations, police reports and basic documentation expenses.
Together with your request for staff of various categories, you would provide a comprehensive job description with as much details as possible to enable us to identify the most suitable candidates from our database. We would perform a preliminary interview of the selected candidates, screen them for suitability and submit their resumes to you for review, interview and final selection by you. We are also in a position to conduct the final selection in some cases if required by the client or arrange on-line interviews.
In the event we are unable to satisfy your requirements through our database, we would utilize a three pronged method of seeking the best candidates which would includes field search and advertising in order that we may find the closest match to the profile for each position submitted by you.
It may be pertinent to state that MIL also has access to a number of international associates’ databases that we utilize on a regular basis to support our own facilities, thus ensuring that we provide our clients with the comprehensive quality of service they would naturally demand, consistently meeting and exceeding our client’s expectations. We thus add value to our clients and provide career support to our candidates. Our international databases are located in Pakistan, India (2-3 associates), Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia, Phillipines and Bangladesh. Such staff may not necessarily be of Sri Lankan origin. Our success has been due to our focussed approach in finding the right people rather than enlisting large batches of prospective candidates of dubious qualifications. We also have the courage to decline the recruitment offer if we are unable to satisfy any industry specific client for any reason

This core specialist team is backed by seven other dedicated staff members.
